"My Angles Are Many/My Sides Are Not Few". Thus spake Norman Juster's Dodecahedron. I share his dilemma...I have more interests than could possibly fit upon a single Web Page, so I'll keep it simple on this outing. I am a devotee of raunchy blues guitar and of Appalachian dulcimers, of pipe organs, Fairlights, Stratocasters and Washburns, steel drums, bodhrans and harpsichords. I keep company with an elegant white longfurred odd-eyed feline rogue and a dark and handsome human comic book dealer who doubles amazingly well as an engineer. I am a kitchen witch, a high-end audiophile, a journeyman Mathemagician, and a children's book expert. I am frequently to be found immersed in my books on astronomy, folklore and mythology, or else my two-volume set of ALL THE WORDS by Monty Python. I am an iron gargoyle in temperament, dyspeptic, sarcastic, and vain. But I have been moved to tears on occasion [just don't tell anyone...I have a reputation to uphold, after all] by the perfect image or written word or phrase of music. DOCTOR WHO, SANDMAN, RED DWARF, SHANDA, OMAHA, XENA, CAPTAIN CARROT AND HIS AMAZING ZOO CREW, BLAKE'S 7, THE BOZZ CHRONICLES, Mose Allison, Archie Goodwin, Charles R. Barnett III, Phil Foglio, Julia Butterfly Hill, Nathan Brazil, Harry Anderson, Harry Morgan and Harry Potter.

I am also the hostess of the friendliest science fiction forum in fandom, GALAXY'S EDGE.

O what a stew I am.....But let my links speak for themselves.

THIS PAGE IS CONSTANTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND LINKS MAY CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. Therefore, bookmarking the ones you like is strongly recommended. Another helpful hint from your Library Lion. Please DO e-mail Sylphidine if you find ANY broken links. I update this page on a fairly regular basis, but oversights can and DO occur. After all, I'm mostly human.

From the Putting Your Mouth Where Your Money Is Department.....if you believe in the freedom of choice as well as the freedoms accorded by the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States, please check out this link to The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and become a member. Really. Give it a look. I'm not blindly spouting that everyone should read EVERYTHING, all in the name of freedom. But... Adults have the responsibility to monitor their own behaviors, not to censor that of others. Our government was founded to protect our rights when the previous government would have taken them away. Visit the site and give it a bit of thought. Even two dollars for a button at a convention is cheerfully welcomed by CBLDF volunteers and staff. Lecture done.[g]

Want lists always welcomed. Soon to be offering fantasy greeting cards and posters.

Giving the gargoyle image a rest, as one can't stay grumpy ALL the time. But you can still see him and other beautiful trinkets at Celestial Seas. Thanks, Nym!

I've redone the colors and motifs here at ASG to reflect the Northern Hemisphere's move into Winter's long nights and short days.... but our unicorn here, even as a Yule reminder of dreams rare and beautiful, seems already to be promising Spring... so here's to the fertility of Imagination's Interior World, and to a creative and joyous season ahead, for ALL who browse this site....

Peace and good cheer...
