I got off work late as usual not too long ago and drove back to my hotel, tired and just about too brain dead to even go in and watch the tube in my room. I stopped the car next to some landscaping and just as I put it in park the sprinkler system came on.
I watched as the sprinkler heads came to life, spraying water to the parched grass in a wonderful undulating circular pattern.
Each sprinkler spraying at different degrees in height and width while I sat there in the car mesmerized by what was happening in my tired imagination.
My minds eye saw huge graceful spiders, dancing to music that was slowly invading my brain. This magickal waltz of arachnids kept me there in my car for several minutes as I watched them detach from the sprinkler heads and begin a march down the hill across the grass. Their bodies were large and luminous, the droplets of water creating cloaks of shining beads that covered their bodies like jewels. One by one, they slowly disappeared into the bushes. As they did, the music faded into a memory and I came back to awareness in my car.
I sat wondering whether it was my imagination or just another gift of the Goddess. I didn't feel so tired anymore and I went up to my room to sleep.
